Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Programming of PLCs, HMIs, GUIs, radios, and instruments.
Configuring computer systems and setting up network communications.
Observe the functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Control schematics.
Utilize effective written and oral communication; plans and manages project communications.
Maintains a positive business relationship with clients as part of ongoing repeat business development efforts.
Optimize project revenue and cost management to maximize profit while minimizing project overruns.
Other duties as assigned.
Ensure project compliance with all BLOC practices and quality, safety, and governmental design standards.
Qualifications
Must live or be willing to relocate to Longview, Texas.
Five plus years of experience.
High school diploma/GED or associate degree in industrial technology.
Apprentice Electrical license or ability to be licensed as a journeyman or master electrician.
Experience with PLC & HMI programming are extremely important with a heavy preference on Siemens, Modicon, and Allen Bradley.
Knowledge of programming software such as PLC, HMI, GUI, Network, and Communications software.
Motivated.
Minimum of six months related experience or training, depending on level.
Knowledge of database software, such as design software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, control narratives, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write code, ladder logic, and function blocks.
Ability to troubleshoot motor control circuits and instrumentation circuits.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
