Job Description:

A global services company in Connecticut is seeking a Master Scheduler to join their team in Meriden, CT. In this role, the Master Scheduler will be responsible for creating and managing the master production schedule to meet shipping dates based on forecasts and customer orders.

About the Opportunity:
  • Location: Onsite
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and assessing demand planning, forecasts, and execution plans while identifying gaps with production capacity and escalating issues as needed
  • Creating production schedules and tracking KPIs to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Conducting routine analysis on production output versus the master schedule and implementing plans to achieve improvements as required
  • Collaborating with the Production and Procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are aligned with the production schedules
  • Creating and maintaining master schedules that align production capabilities with customer demand
  • Analyzing capacity requirements to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and effectively
  • Scheduling production activities on the shop floor to optimize workflow and meet delivery deadlines
  • Developing and executing strategies based on lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Overseeing the coordination of material flow and services throughout the facility to ensure timely delivery
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement in material management
  • Maintaining item master accuracy and ensuring PFEP (plan for every part) to meet business requirements
  • Working closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to align goals and ensure smooth operations
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Materials Management, Production Planning, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies
  • Experience in a low-volume, high-mix, customized Manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Inventory Management systems and Production Planning software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail

Desired Skills:
  • Certifications in Supply Chain Management, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP
  • Working knowledge of SAP
