HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with federal and state government regulations. Responsibilities include handling highly confidential and time sensitive matters. Interactions require the use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Supervises, trains and mentors onsite and remote team of AR Analysts. Sets goals and objectives for team members. • Responsible for ensuring that AR processes are done in an accurate and timely manner consistent with the policies of Shared Services including issuing invoices and credit memos, sending invoices and account statements, posting cash receipts, etc. • Assists other departments in researching discrepancies, etc. and helps resolve customer inquiries. • Responsible for contacting customers and working with other departments to collect on past-due balances. • Reviews and challenges anything that appears unusual. • Monitor unapplied cash. • Maintains accurate records and control reports. • Prepares and/or reviews all monthly accruals in AR. • At each quarter and year-end, ensures that a proper cutoff is achieved so that the general ledger is properly updated. • Responsible for the applicable portions of the monthly and quarterly report packages. • Responsible for the preparation of appropriate documentation as required by J-Sox. • May recommend improvements to AR processes. • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business. • Achievement of objectives must include an over-riding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. • Enable and Drive Change in the Organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL • Associate or bachelor's degree and 5 plus years of experience. • Accounting background in Accounts Payable, account reconciliation, month-end close activities. • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. • Proficient in Windows-based PC software packages including Excel and Word, etc. • Good interpersonal and analytical skills. • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently. • Experience with Oracle business software and experience with accounting in a manufacturing environment desired.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: • Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. • Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. • Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. • Constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. • Prolonged use of computer monitors. • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
