Department Information Counseling and Accessibility Services provides confidential, personal counseling and accommodations for students with disabilities on all five campuses with physical offices on the Macon and Cochran campus. Job Summary In this position, students will have the opportunity to assist in the daily operations of counseling and accessibility services. Student workers will aid in the provision of services by providing administrative support through office tasks for counselors and accessibility specialists. Responsibilities
Assist students, faculty, and staff at the front desk when necessary
Must adhere to the assigned schedule, dependable and prompt
Answer telephone, direct calls appropriately, take accurate messages, etc.
Comply with strict confidentiality laws
Must be able to fax, file, use copier, be well organized, self-motivated and help maintain organizational flow of the office.
Excellent customer service skills
Assist with events and run various on-campus errands
Maintain academic workload while handling a work/study job opportunity
Required Qualifications
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University in at least 6 credit hours with some classes on the Macon campus where the office is located.
Must be able to work a set schedule Monday Friday.
Customer service skills and knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, social media platforms such as Instagram, and oral and written communication skills.
