Job Description:

Atosa USA, Inc. is seeking a talented Automation Engineer/Software Developer to join our in-house service team, with a primary focus on automation in commercial kitchen equipment. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems that drive automation and improve the efficiency of our internal teams. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to understand requirements, develop and test code, and deploy software solutions tailored to the automation of our equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, and maintain automation systems for commercial kitchen equipment, primarily using PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and Modbus communication protocols.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications that enhance the automation of our kitchen equipment, improving overall operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with service department managers, including warranty service and smart kitchen services, to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Debug and resolve software issues to ensure high performance and reliability of automated systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging automation technologies and industry trends to incorporate the latest innovations into our products.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of automation software with hardware components.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
  • Travel to various locations when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required due to the need to communicate with factories and suppliers based in China.
  • Experience in software development, with a focus on automation, experience in PLC programming and Modbus Protocols are a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, IoT, and integrating software with hardware components is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
