Job Summary:
This position is responsible for conducting physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, accurately documenting and calculating results, and taking corrective action when necessary. Responsibilities include alerting appropriate personnel for process adjustments, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Additional assignments may be required. All team members are responsible for personal and food safety.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA-related experience.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Special Skills:
Ability to complete Tyson paperwork.
Leadership and motivation skills for hourly workforce.
Strong problem-solving, math, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Must function well under stress and adapt to flexible work schedules
Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Travel: None.
