Overview
At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Qualifications
The Floor Care Technician is responsible for performing specialized floor care duties including cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing a variety of hard surface floors (e.g., VCT, terrazzo, concrete, tile), as well as carpet cleaning and maintenance. The technician ensures all floor surfaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained to support a professional and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, and floor machines.
Sweep, mop, strip, seal, wax, and buff hard floors as scheduled.
Shampoo, spot clean, and extract carpets using appropriate methods.
Identify and report floor damage or unsafe conditions.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling.
Maintain and store equipment and supplies in a clean, organized manner.
Work independently or with a team to complete assigned tasks on time.
Assist with moving furniture or other objects as needed for floor care access.
Provide excellent customer service in occupied areas.
Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory cleaning standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care or janitorial services.
Familiarity with floor care techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture (up to 50 lbs).
Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
Good communication and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with terrazzo, marble, and specialty floor surfaces.
Certification in floor care or OSHA safety standards (optional but valued).
